Aarhus 2017 European Capital of Culture Timelapse

January 21st, 2017 went straight into the history of Denmark as the second largest city Aarhus held it's opening of being the European Capital of Culture in 2017. The opening night was a grand, colorful and very emotional experience for the 60.000 people who vitnessed it. Choirs singing beautifully from the city hall tower, powerful dramatic drums blasting at the DOKK1 and a 500 meter long parade of several thousand small illuminated viking ships - and quite a few big ones as well - snaking its way through the streets of Aarhus city.
